Voussoirs: Definition and Importance
Voussoirs: The wedge-shaped stones or bricks that form the curved structure of an arch or vault. Each voussoir plays a critical role in distributing weight evenly, ensuring the stability and strength of the architectural feature. The central voussoir, known as the keystone, locks the entire structure in place, making it a vital element in arch construction.
At TBS Cladding Solutions, we provide high-quality materials that perfectly complement traditional architectural elements like voussoirs.
