Soldier Course Brickwork: Definition and Importance in Cladding

What Is Soldier Course Brickwork?
Soldier course brickwork refers to a decorative arrangement of bricks laid vertically on their narrow edge, with their longer face aligned upright. This technique is used to create a distinctive, linear feature in masonry or cladding, often serving as a visual accent above doorways, windows, or at the top of walls. Soldier course brickwork is a popular choice for both traditional and modern designs, adding sophistication and character to internal and external surfaces.

In cladding, soldier course brickwork provides a seamless way to highlight architectural elements, offering both aesthetic appeal and structural precision. It complements the overall design by creating clean, vertical lines that draw attention to key features.
